Coloring in the heat

Well, it's almost 90 degrees here, which is record heat for the Seattle area. We don't have any air conditioning, so it's spending time in the pool and with the windows open to catch any breeze possible. It's so warm that sitting up to color was just a bit too much work, I guess. ;)

Bubbles

Today we got some new bubble toys at Target, and a really BIG bottle of bubbles too! They are lots of fun, and one makes tons of bubbles without anyone having to blow. Very nice for Mommy and Daddy. :) Bubbles are a very exciting treat, especially with new toys. It makes a great excuse for a small girl to need "5 more minutes" before bed. :)

Father's Day

Today we went to the park and had a bbq. We got the grill for Memorial Day, and then it was raining. Ah well... :) Amber specifically enjoyed the carrots and dip as well as corn on the cob. She actually ate a whole piece of corn all on her own! Silly girl! :)

Blocks!

We're building a castle! And Pooh is the "king" of it! :) The Mega Blocks are a lot of fun. We build and then knock it down, and build again. It's a lovely stage. :)

Things to see

One of our favorite pastimes is to "See some water! See some ducks!" They are all out at the front of the complex, so here's the basic view that we have after naps most days. :)

Reading already!

Ok, maybe not..... Well, this will be the first text only post. :) Today the munchkin "read" Sandra Boynton's "Blue Hat, Green Hat" to her parents. She gets almost everything correct, up until the list at the end, and then she skips to the socks and shoes. :) Obviously those are the most important. For a long time she would fill in the "oops" on each page, but now it's the whole thing! So much fun!
